Largest Service Project in Arcadia History Raises Nearly $20K for Pro Bono Clinic

Arcadia University proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement–building a stronger, healthier community for all, and with gifts from over 177 donors, so far raising almost $20,000 in support of the Arcadia University Pro Bono Clinic (AUPBC). Gifts are still being made to the largest service project in Arcadia’s history, uniting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends under one shared purpose: to serve our community through compassion and care. We will continue seeking support during the University’s annual day of giving, UKnightedTuesday, held December 2-3. The final results will be revealed live at our annual Thank-a-Thon.
Throughout 2025, our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students, alongside Arcadia faculty, staff, alumni, and friends, have trained, preparing to run in the Philadelphia Marathon Weekend races (November 21–23, 2025), emboldened with a powerful message — “Run for Those Who Can’t.” Moved by the work of the Clinic, President Ajay Nair, PhD joined the Arcadia team and completed the 8K.
Each stride represented a commitment to expand access to care for the under- and uninsured patients, who rely on the AUPBC’s pro-bono physical therapy services.
Funds raised through this initiative will allow the clinic to treat additional patients and expand operating hours, helping to meet the growing needs of our community while providing essential hands-on learning experiences for Arcadia’s DPT students.
This project demonstrates the profound impact of experiential learning–the opportunity to prepare future healthcare professionals and transform the lives of those they serve.
This success was a community effort and would not have been possible without the dedication of our PT students, AUPBC board members, faculty, staff, alumni, and donors who believed it important to strengthen the Clinic to make their vision for growth a reality. Everyone involved embodied what it means to be UKnighted for good–using our shared strength to create lasting change, thus emphasizing Arcadia’s Lived Values: Adaptability, Excellence, Fearlessness, Integrity, Intellectual Freedom, Justice, Respect, and Responsibility.
“The Arcadia University Pro Bono Clinic is more than a clinical site–it’s a lifeline for our community and a cornerstone of our students’ education,” said Dr. Jessica Mahoney, Director of the AUPBC. “Reaching this fundraising goal means we can expand access to care for patients who need it most while continuing to give our students the meaningful, hands-on experience that defines an Arcadia education.”
The amounts raised are not just a set of numbers–they’re a testament to Arcadia’s spirit of service, resilience, and community of care. Together, we’ve made a statement bolder than the amount raised. The runners, donors, students, and friends have strengthened the foundation of the Pro Bono Clinic and reaffirmed its mission to make a positive impact in our community and to support one student at a time.
