What extracurriculars do you plan on joining?
The commuter club, and I plan on joining whatever other clubs catch my eye.
What are some of your hobbies?
I love to read, and as a collector at heart, I love finding and acquiring different editions of my favorite novels. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. My dog and I spend a lot of time walking around Neshaminy State Park; it’s one of my favorite places in the world.

What is your proudest accomplishment to date?
My proudest accomplishment to date has been graduating from the Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. There was a time when I felt like I might never be able to return to school, so graduating, with honors, might I add, was a surreal and meaningful experience. Through that journey, I not only grew to love learning but also discovered my passion for becoming an educator. I am grateful for every piece of knowledge I gain, knowing I will one day apply it to my career in the classroom.
Why did you choose Arcadia?
I chose Arcadia because I wanted to attend a smaller school where I would get to know my professors and my classmates on a deeper level, so I could build meaningful and long-lasting connections, which are so important in the education world. There is a sense of community that is completely unique to Arcadia, and I know it will benefit me socially and academically.
What are you most looking forward to?
Being a part of the Social Action and Justice Education (SAJE) fellowship at Arcadia, I am most looking forward to gaining the tools to become a well-rounded early childhood educator. I hope to take what I learn and apply it to whichever school I teach at in the School District of Philadelphia. I believe it is important to appreciate where you come from and to give back to your community, and this fellowship will allow me to do just that.
