Our Area Coordinators are professional staff members that oversee the residential communities. All are excellent resources for students new to Arcadia. Ask them about time management, roommates, what to bring, and other general questions about life in the residence halls and apartments.

Resident Assistants are upperclassmen who have been selected to serve as resources, role models, and mentors for residential students. The RA is the most immediate link with students living on their floor. The RA works under the direction of an Area Coordinator.
Area Coordinators are professional staff specially trained to assist students within housing. The Area Coordinator manages all aspects of the residence hall, including, but not limited to, support of all residential students, supervision of paraprofessional staff, management of facilities and housekeeping concerns, student behavior, safety and security. Additionally, the Area Coordinators participate in a campus-wide emergency on-call rotation. All three Area Coordinators live within the areas they supervise among the students and staff.
Commuter Assistants are upperclassmen who have been selected to serve as resources, role models, and mentors for commuter students. With an office adjacent to the Commuter Lounge in Heinz Hall, the CA is the most immediate link with between the RCL team and commuter students. The CAs works under the direction of the Area Coordinator for Heinz, Knight, and Commuter Life.
The Area Coordinator for Heinz, Knight, and Commuter Life ia a professional staff member specially trained to assist commuter students with their specific needs. The Area Coordinator manages all aspects of the Commuter Lounge, including, but not limited to, support of all commuter students, supervision of paraprofessional staff, management of facilities and housekeeping concerns, disciplinary affairs, and safety and security. Additionally, the Area Coordinator participates in a campus-wide emergency on-call rotation. The Area Coordinator lives within the area they supervise among the students and staff, and works within an office up one floor from the Commuter Lounge in Heinz Hall.
