Satellite Cable TV - free for all students
Internet access – all residence hall rooms have access to the University's high-speed wireless and Ethernet networks. In order to utilize Arcadia's network, you must complete on online registration process for each computer and handheld device.
In a traditional residence hall, you will find:
Laundry Rooms – washers and dryers are free of charge.
Housekeeping service for each common area, common bathroom and lounge area.
Guest Rooms in Kistler, Dilworth and Heinz Halls.
Flat screen TVs with DVD capability in the Kistler, Dilworth and Heinz main lounges
Kitchens in each Knight Hall lounge.
Bring with you to campus:
Sheets – twin, extra-long
Egg crates or mattress pads
Shower Shoes or Flip Flops
TV and DVD/BluRay player
Iron with an automatic shutoff and Ironing Board
White Board for door
Power Strip/Surge Protector
S – Hooks (Only Kistler, Dilworth and Heinz Halls have S-Hook strips around the perimeter of the rooms)
Poster putty or removable adhesive strips – students are responsible for damage to their walls and furniture at the end of the year!
Leave these items at home:
Alcohol - If you are under the age of 21.
Extension Cords - Other than surge protectors
Pets - Other than fish in a tank no larger than 10 gallons
Refrigerators larger than 3.2 cubic feet
Microwave ovens - Other than those leased or purchased through an authorized University vendor
Lamps with exposed bulbs
Halogen lamps without approved covers
Grills - George Foreman, charcoal, or gas burning
Coffee makers without automatic shut off
Bottled gas appliances
Any device that has an exposed heating element and does not have automatic shut-off
