The Great Hall

Mirror Room
A domed, gilded ceiling welcomes guests into the Laura Minerva Korman Mirror Room. Originally the estate’s ballroom, the room features mirrors handcrafted in France and installed by artisans who traveled with them to Glenside. The ceiling, painted by François Lafon, depicts the four seasons floating across the sky along the zodiac.

Rose Room
Once known as the Drawing Room, the Rose Room features elegant chandeliers, wall sconces, and delicate floral designs. An arched entryway with sliding glass doors creates a dramatic introduction for newlyweds.

8. A Landmark with Rich History
Grey Towers Castle was originally the home of William Welsh Harrison, co-owner of the Franklin Sugar Refinery. Designed by renowned architect Horace Trumbauer, the Castle was inspired by Alnwick Castle in England. Arcadia University, then Beaver College, purchased the property in 1929, making the Castle the centerpiece of its campus. In 1985, the Castle and its 76-acre grounds were designated a National Historic Landmark.
