Honors Admission Evaluation
Admission to Arcadia University’s Honors Program is holistic and SAT/ACT optional. You are evaluated as a whole person, not just by your grades. Your motivation can show up through academic achievement, work experience, leadership, or community involvement.
Once enrolled, students are expected to:
- Maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA
- Complete at least one course beyond Honors Equilibrium by the end of sophomore year
Admission focuses on past achievement and potential; program requirements focus on maintaining academic performance and progressing through Honors coursework.
Competitive applicants typically demonstrate:
- Rank in the top 10% of their class (if ranked)
- Completion of a rigorous high school curriculum (Honors, AP, IB, or accelerated coursework)
- Strong academic performance similar to recent admitted students
- Engagement outside the classroom through work, activities, or service
- Strong motivation and a desire to make a positive impact
Standardized test scores are optional for both Arcadia University and the Honors Program.
Additional pathways to apply:
Current Arcadia students with a 3.50 or above cumulative GPA may self-nominate, however current Arcadia students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher are automatically considered
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis at the beginning of the semester. Apply early, as space is limited. For additional information on Arcadia’s admissions process, visit the Admissions page.
