The Middle Atlantic Conference has announced the 2012 All-Freedom Conference women’s lacrosse teams and has named Deanna Thompson ’13 (Centerport, N.Y.) to the First Team and Haylee Molloy ’15 (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Jaclyn Feffer ’15 (Montgomery, N.Y.) to the Second Team.

After turning aside 126 opponent shots on goal in 2012, Thompson finished atop the Freedom Conference goalkeeper statistical leaders in Save Percentage (.467) Saves (10.50/game) and while leading the Knights to a league-best Goals Against Average (12.19).  She played 618 minutes in the cage and helped Arcadia produce its most number of wins since the 1999 season (8-9 overall). She posted a three-game win streak from April 14-19 in wins over Wilkes, Rosemont and Immaculata.

With the second best offensive production to date in the history of Arcadia’s Women’s Lacrosse program, Molloy led the Knights in scoring with 63 goals and 79 points. Not one game passed without Molloy chipping in on the scoring, as she earned points in all 17 games, scoring 3 or more goals in 15 of those contests. She finished her rookie season posting an impressive .788 shots on goal percentage. She is currently ranked second in single-season goals and second in single-season points and is 10th on Arcadia’s all-time list for career goals and ninth for career points.

Arcadia’s go-to for center draws, Feffer corralled 116 draw controls for the Knights and finished as the team’s third-leading scorer with a 40-point season, scoring 34 and assisting on 6. Feffer finished with points in all but two contests recording a personal single-season high of six goals against Freedom Conference rival Wilkes on April 14. She started all 17 games in the mid-field and added 52 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.

All three players will return to the lead the team on a quest for a berth in the Freedom Conference Championship Tournament next year.
