Career Opportunities
In the TEFL field, there are teaching opportunities in many parts of the world, and those with a recognized TEFL certificate are in high demand. Arcadia University’s reputation in teacher education, TESOL education, and study abroad provides the name recognition that make our graduates appealing to employers. Career options can be found in private language institutes, public schools, universities and business corporations, NGO/nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, international and Department of Defense schools, as well as private tutoring and voluntary work worldwide.
Hands-on Overseas Learning Experience
Our program distinguishes itself from other programs because of its intensive, supervised experiences in sites overseas during the summer session. Our collaborations with Arcadia’s Civic and Global Engagement and the Peace Corps Prep program provides unique hands-on opportunities for students to learn TEFL in context abroad.
