Dr. Graciela Slesaransky-Poe, Associate Professor in Special Education, was invited by the United Parents Group to co-facilitate a community meeting at the Cheltenham School District on April 11.  The topic of the conversation was “Recognizing and Embracing Our Community’s Diversity: Welcoming Schools for ALL of Cheltenham’s Families.” The purpose of the meeting was to engage parents so that they can better embrace the district’s diversity by creating and sustaining a welcoming school environment for all Cheltenham students. Slesaransky-Poe and her co-facilitator lead parents, district administrators, and a Board Member, in a conversation about how they can reinforce the message of “Acceptance for All” at home.
