Positive Behavioral Approaches (ED585.1)

Explore the research on mental health in schools and interventions designed to create communities of connection and support in K-12 classrooms. Today's headlines speak to the ongoing plague of gun violence in our schools. At a time when teachers can feel more powerless in doing the intense emotional labor of creating an inclusive classroom and meaningful networks of support, we look at teacher AND student resilience and the instructional and functional approaches to behavior to encourage schools to be systems of support for students and professionals.
