By Caitlin Burns | May 4, 2016

The Gray Gallery, owned by Art and Design Chair Carole Loeffler, will welcome the new juried exhibition, Immersed, featuring the work of seven female artists that celebrates the overlooked and undervalued art of women who attempt to balance the roles of mother and artist.

Juried by Dr. Jill Pederson, assistant professor of Art History at Arcadia University, Immersed brings together works ranging from jewelry and mixed media to oil and watercolor paintings in order to explore what it means to be a mother.

Immersed opens Friday, May 6 from 6 to 8 p.m., and will be on display by appointment until May 20. Contact Loeffler for details at carole@graygallery.co.

The Gray Gallery is located at 222 West Harvey Street in Germantown.
