Chauhan Chairs South Asian Literacy Association Conference

Dr. Pradyumna Chauhan, Professor of English and President of the South Asian Literary Association, was mentioned in an article regarding the 10th annual SALA Conference, which was held in Philadelphia Dec. 26-27. As President of the Association, Chauhan was involved in various activities, including welcoming the members, chairing a session, and awarding “distinguished achievement” certificates to the luminaries recognized this year.  Also at this year’s conference, George Filip, an Arcadia University graduate student and one of Chauhan’s advisees, made a presentation on “What’s in a Name? Hinduism, Christianity, and the Evolution of Dalit Identity.” Read more.
