Dryer Reflects on Obama Visit on PA Blog

“Standing on stage a few feet from the President, many things crossed my mind,” says Dr. Michael Dryer, Assistant Professor and Chair of Medical Science and Community Health. “When he mentioned the importance of physician assistants in health care reform, I thought back to the 1990s, when the growth of managed care fueled the rapid expansion of PA programs and PA jobs. I wondered whether health care reform would have the same effect. I wondered how different clinical practice would be for our students in a reformed health care system.”

Dryer penned a blog entry for PA Pro Now, the site for the American Academy of Physician Assistants. To read his entry, go to www.aapa.org/news/pa-pro-now and scroll down.
