Rain Couldn’t Dampen the Sounds of Woodstock

April showers didn’t put a damper on Spring Fling’s Woodstock event on April 16. The Arcadia community pulled together to load the bands and equipment into the Kuch Center. Students came equipped with blankets and Frisbees to keep the outdoor festival atmosphere of the event. The five bands who rocked the stage were Over N’ Out (Winner of Battle of the Bands), Frank Viele and the Manhattan Project, The Speedbumps, Lynhurst and headliner SAFETYSUIT.

“We had no problems loading the bands and equipment in and out of the Kuch Center, and everyone managed to stay pretty dry, despite the rain,” says Corey Stevens ’12. “The rain was heavy and consistent throughout the event, but people were still showing up and hanging out throughout the day. The bands kept things lively, and we had a great set this year. We had plenty of food and drinks, and plenty of snacks for everyone, and the custom road signs seemed to be a big hit. It’s really hard to decide which of the bands was my favorite because we had such a fantastic line-up this year.”
