Dr. Jeff Shultz, Assistant Provost for Special Projects and Professor of Education, was a faculty member and consultant at the Association of American Colleges and University’s (AAC&U) Shared Futures Summer Institute held in Ellicott City, Md., from July 31 through Aug. 5.

The Shared Futures project helps institutions of higher education infuse global learning into their undergraduate curricula. In 2005, Arcadia was chosen to be a part of the project’s first cohort of 16 colleges and universities. The newest cohort of 32 institutions includes research universities such as Carnegie-Mellon and Michigan State, as well as liberal arts colleges including Haverford and William and Mary.

Shultz spent the week working with institute participants, helping them prepare action plans that they will use at their home institutions to add global content to their undergraduate curriculum.
