It’s an annual pre-season tradition for Arcadia University’s fall sports teams to take a break from their rigorous conditioning and training for an outdoor dinner at the President’s House. Photos.

Arcadia University President Carl (Tobey) Oxhom III and his wife, Kim, were gracious hosts in what they described as one of their favorite events of the year.

“Kim and I love welcoming our fall intercollegiate athletes and thanking our student leaders who are so important to orientation and student life,” said President Oxholm.  “We are looking forward to a great year, and this is the best kind of kick off for it.”

With the University’s largest-ever incoming first year class set to arrive for Move-In Day comes the largest fall recruiting class in the history of Arcadia University Athletics.

After a day of intense training sessions, more than 100 fall sport student-athletes invaded the Oxholm residence on Aug. 22, along with Orientation Leaders (OLs) and Student Affairs staff. Following dinner, the Oxholms, coaches and Student Affairs staff joined the athletes and OLs for some friendly but competitive yard games.
