Arcadia University has extended canceling classes Monday to include Tuesday, October 30, 2012. All classes and campus events are cancelled and offices will be closed on both Monday and Tuesday this week.

This decision is in effect for all Arcadia classes and events on our campuses in Christiana, Del., Glenside, Pa., and King of Prussia, Pa., as well as classes in Willow Grove. Online classes will proceed (if power and technology allow) as directed by their instructors. Staff performing essential services will be on duty as directed by their supervisors.

City and local officials have encouraged everyone to stay indoors as much as possible for these two days. We encourage our students on campus to refrain from outdoor activities that may endanger life and observe extreme caution during the Hurricane.

In addition to phone and email messages sent through SendWordNow, Arcadia will also communicate Hurricane Sandy updates via the BulletinMyArcadiaFacebook and Twitter.

In the event of an emergency on campus:

  • Call 911 in the event of an immediate threat to life safety.
  • On-campus call 2999 – The Public Safety Emergency number or Arcadia’s main number 215-572-2900
