Michelle Reale, associate professor and faculty librarian, published “The Indispensable Academic Librarian: Teaching and Collaborating for Change,” a new book that challenges the way academic librarians are perceived within their institutions and discusses becoming a proactive educator and collaborator within the system.

Reale’s experiences as an academic librarian have allowed her to introduce strategies applicable to many different areas, showing how the librarian can be an educator and be recognized for the vital roles they play in the education system.
