Jennifer Manzella, adjunct professor of Art and Design, co-created an art installation on Ludlow Street in Philadelphia’s East Market area. Artist Katie VanVliet collaborated with Manzella, along with the assistance of Painting student Laura Bonacci ’20, which blends depictions of Philadelphia’s history and architecture.

Philadelphia’s Office of National Real Estate Development commissioned Manzella and VanVliet as part of a development plan to integrate art pieces throughout East Market.

An opening event for the installation is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1100 Ludlow Street. Manzella, Van Vliet, and fellow Ludlow Street artists Avery Lawrence and Karina Puente will discuss their contributions to the project.
