Tristan Donohoe
Hi, I’m Tristan! I study at The College of Wooster, where I major in Spanish and minor in Communications Sciences & Disorders (which is a mouthful to say at icebreakers), and I’m spending this spring in Toledo, Spain, studying at the Fundación Ortega-Marañón. I’m grateful to say I’ve done quite a bit of traveling in the past few years, but I’ve never traveled by myself like this – nor have I ever been away from the U.S. for this long. I have almost 4 months to immerse myself in the Spanish language, travel to cities I’ve always wanted to see and eat my body weight in ham. I promise this blog will be, at worst, ramblings about Spanish phonetics and phonology, and at best, it might just get you excited enough to come study here, too.
