The prerequisite courses for the 4+1 program are anatomy and physiology (two semesters), microbiology, general chemistry (two semesters), mathematics, statistics, English composition, English elective, general psychology, developmental psychology, abnormal psychology and sociology. Two “selective” courses in American culture or ethnic studies, logic, philosophy or critical thinking and two “elective” courses in the arts, humanities or social sciences also are required.
Program Notes
Students must declare interest in this program as incoming first-year students. Students that declare after first semester of freshman year may be required to take additional summer courses to remain on track.

The program incorporates all the standard components of the Bachelor of Science in nursing program in a concentrated timeframe.
