Several faculty members from Arcadia’s College of Health Sciences attended the Interprofessional Education Collaboration (IPEC) in Herndon, Va., from Oct. 5 to 7.

Dr. Karen Sawyer, assistant professor of Physical Therapy, Dr. Amy Miller, assistant professor of Physical Therapy, Amanda Seymour, assistant professor of Physician Assistant, Dr. Katie DiSantis, assistant professor of Public Health, and Dr. Laura Conway, associate professor of Genetic Counseling, participated in a guided learning experience and team-based planning activities and explored how to embed interprofessional education (IPE) content into their curriculum. The team focused on developing a curriculum of interprofessional education that begins with standardized patients and is completed with global outreach.

Expenses for the conference were funded through a generous gift by Geraldine “Gerri” Aaron ’14H.
