On Thursday, Sept. 8, the Arcadia community showed their University spirit and celebrated with local residents during the annual Rock the Knight gathering and Downtown Glenside Food Truck Festival.

Students, faculty, and staff gathered on Haber Green for the Activities Fair, which included information about how to get involved on campus, supplies for making posters, food, drinks, and music provided by DJ Urban Cowboy. After gathering on the Green, University community members joined President Ajay Nair, Ph.D. Mrs. Paayal Nair, and other faculty and staff to process along Easton Road to the Downtown Glenside Food Truck Festival, where local businesses and nearly 40 food truck vendors greeted the Knights.

“I didn’t realize how big this festival was,” said Eric Pastroski ’25, of Long Island, N.Y. “Last year, Rock the Knight was my first time off campus. This year is even better.”

After the food truck festival, students returned to Haber Green for more food and live entertainment from Pure Jerry

“I like the campus and I hadn’t been in downtown Glenside until tonight; it’s really nice and cute,” said Gretchen DeBoer ’26, of Lansdale, Pa. “This is a good event because it helps new students get to know each other and the area around campus.”

The event was sponsored by Arcadia and the Downtown Glenside Foundation (DGF).
