“If ever you were looking for proof about the value of an Arcadia education, remember that people vote with their feet! We had 1,176 prospective students, family and friends visit us for our September Open House, a record for us, and more are expected this weekend at the Oct. 16 Open House, which follows Alumni Homecoming/Fall Fest,” said Mark Lapreziosa, Vice President for Enrollment Management.

The Open Houses offer the opportunity for prospective students and their families to speak with Trustees, current students, administrators, coaches, alumni, and faculty from every department—as well as representatives from Student Life, the Office of International Affairs, Financial Aid and many more. More than 50 Arcadia Ambassadors will lead tours around campus, and both the Arcadia Knight and President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III will greet guests. Student-athletes will help serve up food and insights at lunch.

“We are excited to welcome these students and their families to campus on Sunday, especially now that Haber Green is beautiful, green, and open in the heart of our campus,” says Lapreziosa.

At the September Open House, Dr. Peter Siskind, Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Assistant Professor of History, introduced the students and their families to Arcadia’s distinctive Undergraduate Curriculum, with its four experiences—First-Year Experience, Global Connections Experience, University Seminars, and Senior Capstone. Siskind also will do the honors for Arcadia this weekend.

More than 170 students submitted their applications to Arcadia during the September event, more than last fall and one of the highest amounts in recent years.
