By Purnell T. Cropper | September 7, 2012

The College of Global Studies at Arcadia University was honored to host Dr. Dimeji Togunde, Gordon Zeto Dean for Global Education and Professor of International Studies at Spelman College, and Karen Clay, Program Manager for STEM programs at Spelman College. President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III and Provost Dr. Steve O. Michael met Togunde along with several staff members from The College of Global Studies, including Arcadia University Associate Vice President Lorna Stern, and Founding Academic Dean Dr. Dennis Dutschke.

Togunde  plays a key leadership role for the strategic development of international initiatives across Spelman College and is particularly interested in establishing benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of Spelman’s international programs and policies.

Spelman College has been sending students on a wide variety of study abroad programs through The College of Global Studies for more than 20 years. It is hoped that by this visit, further opportunities for alignment will be developed with special reference to study abroad, joint research and grant-funding projects and assessment initiatives.
