On Wednesday, Feb. 19, approximately 100 students and alumni ventured into preparing for their futures in careers, graduate schools, entrepreneurial endeavors, and service and volunteerism at the Office of Career Education’s Professional Destinations Expo. Sixteen employers and members of various Arcadia departments volunteered at eight stations, which included résumé and cover letter analysis, graduate school essay critiques, mock interviews, dress for success consulting, LinkedIn profile picture-taking, small business and start-up guidance, and information on nonprofit and other service careers.

Many attendees who may have intended to visit one station also took advantage of the resources at other stations, said Interim Director of Career Education Mark Gress Jr.

The volunteers presented “new and fresh perspectives” to attendees, Gress noted, adding “We were very pleased with the turnout and the support that was provided by the exhibitors.”
