Ribbon Cut on Renovated Commuter Lounge
President Nicolette DeVille Christensen, Area Coordinator and Commuter Assistant (CA) Supervisor Nick Kirkstadt, Student Government Organization President Daniel Rivera ’17, and head CA James Jesberger ’16 cut the ribbon on the new Commuter Lounge in Heinz Hall on Sept. 30.
The lounge underwent major renovations over the summer, adding a kitchenette, fresh carpeting, dimmable lighting, upgraded furniture, and a new locker room separate from the study room, making the lounge a more comfortable place for students.
“The new commuter lounge is much nicer than it was before,” said Shani Carrington ’18, a commuter student from Philadelphia. “It really takes into consideration the things that commuters need to make commuting a little easier.”
