This spring, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Hyperallergic each featured a review of “Richard Mosse: Beyond Here Lies Nothin,” a photography collection on display in the Spruance Art Gallery from Feb. 1 to April 15. Mosse uses military imaging technology such as heat sensing cameras in this unique exhibition in order to highlight the inadequacy of political responses to the Syrian refugee crisis. His innovative use of technology draws attention to the politicization of photojournalism while captivating audiences.
