John Stuetz ’19M, Education Literacy Studies graduate student, presented at the American Graduate School International Graduate Student Conference in Paris, France, on April 27.

Stuetz’s presentation, “Exploring President Trump’s Xenophobic Rhetoric Towards Immigrants (‘They Will Come Back to Bite Us’) and its Complex Effects on Dreamers and Other Immigrant Youth,” explored how the current political atmosphere will affect American immigrants.

This year’s conference focused on “Refugee Politics in International Relations,” bringing together graduate students, scholars, practitioners from NGOs, government agencies, and intergovernmental organizations to review, assess, and challenge the notions of displacement in today’s international arena.
