> Knight Connection > 40 Under 40: Dr. Amber LaJeunesse Silverberg ’06
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
Director of the Center for Student Engagement and Leadership at Cabrini University
Co-founder of Gamify Live
Havertown, Pa.
The countless days with dear friends dancing, leading clubs, or just being together live in my heart.
A friend and I founded the Knight Club during our freshman year. The organization started with 30 members and had more than 100 by the time we graduated. Performing on stage with my friends was a highlight in my college career. I’m a very proud alumna when I see the Knight Club’s continued success.
Additionally, studying abroad in Athens, Greece was one of the best decisions I ever made. The tremendous experiences, breathtaking beauty, wonderful food, incredible people, and even the discomfort and fear are memories I will always cherish.
I have worked within student affairs since I graduated from Arcadia in 2006. Within the next five years, I hope to earn a new position of executive director, associate dean, or dean of students. Within my time working in student affairs, I hope I have influenced students similar to how Dr. Janet Walbert and the rest of Arcadia’s Student Affairs team impacted me.
Professionally, I have found a career in which I thrive and enjoy. I have assisted students as they find their voice and grow. I am proud of who I have become as a professional and am still in disbelief that I completed the work and earned my doctorate in Higher Education Leadership in 2017.
