The Center for Teaching, Learning and Mentoring, in collaboration with the Provost’s Office, The First-Year Writing Program, CASAA, and Title III, is pleased to announce this year’s May Workshops, centered around Professors as Learners: Embracing Innovative, Antiracist & Inclusive Pedagogies.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, when sessions will include:
- 10-11:15 a.m., PLENARY Session: Designing Antiracist and Linguistically Just Assessment Tools, Speaker: Asao Inoue, University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
- 11:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m., **SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) Project Session, PART 1: NAME STORY, Presenters: Zarah Adams, Charla Okewole, and Alison Hammond – Germantown Friends School
- 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Implementing Universal Design One Adjustment at a Time, Presenters: Jen Smull & Kim Dean, Community Lunch: End-of-Academic-Year Celebration
- 1-2:15 p.m. (LUNCH), Community Lunch: End-of-Academic-Year Celebration, Host: Center for Teaching, Learning and Mentoring
- 2:30-3:45 p.m., Title III FY Seminar Session: Syllabus Reconstruction , Presenters: Jen Smull, Daniel Pieczkolon, Ellen Skilton, & other FY Sem Faculty
- 2:30-3:45 p.m., *SEED (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity) Project Session, PART 2: GENDER IDENTITY, Presenters: Zarah Adams, Charla Okewole, and Alison Hammond – Germantown Friends School
