Mary E. Sweeney serves as Vice President for Human Resources and the Employee Experience and leads an awesome team of talented HR professionals by offering employee services, policies, and systems that align with the University’s mission, vision, values and strategy.

In her role on the President’s Cabinet (the key executive administrators of the institution), Mary is responsible for the HR strategy, the employee experience, learning & development, organizational effectiveness, workforce & succession planning, talent acquisition, total rewards, employee & labor relations, performance management, and compliance with all employment rules and regulations.

Mary’s goal is to make Arcadia a Great Place to Work for all faculty and staff, and is passionate about creating a diverse and inclusive environment where all colleagues feel they belong.

Prior to joining Arcadia, Mary served as Regional Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Vice President (SVP) of Human Resources for the Mid-Atlantic and South Regions of Trinity Health, one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic health care systems in the nation. Before that, Mary served as Vice President for Human Resources and Development and Director of Colleague Benefits at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa., and was a Human Resources Consultant and Insurance Broker at PROXUS HR in Fort Washington, Pa.
