The Empty Bowl is being held on Nov. 16 in Grey Towers Castle. After picking the bowl, enjoy soup in the Great Room

Arcadia University’s 29th annual Empty Bowl Dinner — a highlight of the Thanksgiving holiday season on campus — returns with no restrictions on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m in Grey Towers Castle.

Tickets are $12 for students and $15 for general admission and can be purchased here.

Attendees will select a ceramic bowl handcrafted by an Arcadia community member, a Cheltenham student, or an artist, which they can take home. (The ceramic bowls will not be used for eating at the event for health and safety protocols.) All attendees will enjoy endless soup on campus in the Great Room after selecting their bowl in the castle.

Since its start in 1993, Empty Bowl has raised more than $160,000 to benefit regional, national, and international organizations fighting hunger and homelessness. Proceeds from the event will support the Knights for Nutrition Food Pantry, Philadelphia Rise Against Hunger, and Family Promise of Philadelphia.  Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Knights for Nutrition Food Pantry.
