Junior forward Kim Canfield of the Arcadia University women’s soccer team has been named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District ® Women’s Soccer Team, which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). As a first-team selection, she will advance to the national ballot for Capital One Academic All-America ® consideration.

A biology major with a 3.77 cumulative grade point average, Canfield has started in 16 of her 18 games played so far this season and leads the team in scoring with 14 goals and a team-best 11 assists for 39 points. She also leads the team with four game-winning goals this season.

Canfield, who was named a First-Team MAC Commonwealth All-Conference selection as a sophomore, leads the MAC Commonwealth Conference in assists and entered the week ranked ninth in the nation. She is second in the conference and is tied for 27th in the nation in total points, and ranks fourth in the league in goals.

The Knights (11-2-5, 4-1-3 MAC) will close out the 2013 regular season with a MAC Commonwealth match at Lebanon Valley at noon. Arcadia can clinch a conference tournament berth with a win or tie against the Dutchmen, or a loss or tie for Stevenson.

The Capital One Academic All-America ® program is designed to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.
