Upon completion of 15 graduate credits (excluding transfer credit) students must make formal application to be a candidate for a degree. Requirements for candidacy are good academic standing (3.0 gpa) and advisers signature. Degree Candidacy is the academic program plan for the degree and must be on file in the Graduate Office for degree conferral. Graduate Degrees that require candidacy are listed below.
**Not required for PA Teacher Certification only programs. Not required for full-time/cohort graduate programs (Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Genetic Counseling, MFA Creative Writing, Forensic Science, International Peace & Conflict Resolution, Business Administration or Dual Degree programs).
AU Graduate Certificate Program (Non-Degree) Completion Form
Upon completion of one of the programs below, you must submit the AU Graduate Program (non-degree) Completion Form for processing. Completion requirements are good academic standing and matriculation in an Arcadia Graduate program. Graduate Certificates are mailed from the Registrar's Office. Please allow 2-weeks for processing.

+Recognized and Endorsed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. A valid and active Instructional I certificate is required to add an area of Endorsement. Students eligible for an Endorsement will be sent a Letter of Completion by the Certification Officer upon application to PDE. See Teacher Certification Page for information on how to file.
