Tanya Santangelo is an Associate Professor in the School of Education.  She is also an associate editor of Journal of Educational Psychology, a board member for the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division for Research, and a research fellow with the George W. Bush Institute’s Middle School Matters initiative.  Prior to earning her doctorate in special education from the University of Maryland, Dr. Santangelo spent nearly 10 years as an educator—working with amazing kiddos and their families.  She is the (co)author of numerous publications, targeting both scholarly and practitioner-oriented audiences.
