Master of Arts Education in English Education
This program is designed to allow students to seek certification in secondary areas to attain a master’s degree concurrently. The degree is not required for certification, and individual requirements for certification may vary based on academic experience.
Advisors from both the English department and School of Education will help you meet program requirements.
Customize Your Program
You can complete the program part- or full-time, with evening classes offered 4:30-10 p.m. Monday through Friday during each 14-16 week semester. There are also a few online courses. Simply choose how many courses you’d like to register for each semester with the help of your academic adviser.
Full-time status for graduate students is nine or more credit hours per semester. Most students register for at least two courses a semester, allowing them to complete a master’s degree and/or teacher certification within 18 to 24 months.
