How Do I Apply for Financial Aid?

Steps to Apply

Step 1

Apply for an FSA ID on the Federal Student Aid website. FSA ID serves as your e-signature on FAFSA.

Step 2

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Step 3

Complete the Arcadia Financial Aid Application for Undergraduate Students available at www.arcadia.edu/finaidforms.

Note:

When filing your FAFSA, you should select the IRS Data Retrieval option so your FAFSA can be updated automatically with federal tax figures.

Students randomly selected for verification by Federal Student Aid Programs upon filing the FAFSA will receive separate notification and will be required to complete a Verification Form. In the event they have not selected the IRS Data Retrieval Option on the FAFSA, they will be required to submit a signed copy of the Federal Income Tax return used to file the FAFSA.

Any financial aid package prepared for an accepted student who is selected for verification remains only an estimate until this documentation is provided.

Priority Filing Deadlines

  • March 15 for new undergraduate students
  • April 1  for returning undergraduate, new and returning graduate students

Note: Applications received after these dates will still be processed, but on a rolling basis as received. For best chances of maximum aid, apply by the priority deadline listed.

Attention Pennsylvania Students: The FAFSA must be received at Federal Student Aid Programs (or transmitted electronically) by May 1 for state grant consideration.

Aid Package and Award Letters

We'll prepare a financial aid package for you, once you have been accepted for admission and followed the steps to apply for financial aid. Award letters are being sent to all accepted students who have submitted the appropriate paperwork. Financial Aid packages are prepared on an on-going basis throughout the spring as the paperwork is received by the Financial Aid Office.

You will be notified via email once your aid package has been prepared and can view the package immediately on the Financial Aid PortalThis is an Award Letter and not a bill.  It is a summary of the aid that you qualify to receive for the upcoming year.

Accepting Awards

You must go onto the Financial Aid Portal to accept or decline your aid.
