Arcadia Students Perform The Vagina Monologues

By Purnell T. Cropper | March 9, 2010

Arcadia University students and faculty staged performances of The Vagina Monologues on Feb. 19, 20 and 21. The Vagina Monologues is a series of monologues written by women. Author Eve Ensler journeyed across the country and worldwide interviewing women on topics such as gender, identity, sexuality, sexual assault, first love, and childbirth and compiled her favorite monologues into a performance. Profound, intense, and funny, The Vagina Monologues creates an unconventional forum to discuss and explore the female experience. All proceeds from the event at Arcadia University were donated to local charities and women’s shelters, as well as back to the VDday campaign to end violence against women.
