Campus Community Invited to Honors Convocation on Saturday

The Arcadia University community—including parents, friends and alumni—is invited to Honors Convocation on Saturday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. in Kuch Center. Complimentary coffee service begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Castle. Dr. Steve O. Michael, Provost and Academic Vice President, presides over the ceremony.

More than 200 students will be recognized during Honors Convocation for their accomplishments, including the Graduate Distinguished Dean’s Honor List, Dean’s Undergraduate Distinguished Honor List and Dean’s Undergraduate Honor list. A total of 49 special awards will be given, and new inductees in Phi Kappa Phi, members of Alpha Epsilon Lambda, and students named to 2010 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges will be honored.

Faculty participants will robe in Kuch 205. Participating students should report to Kuch 204-206 by 10 a.m.

Michael will present the Alpha Epsilon Lambda and the Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching. The invocation will be given by Dr. Jan Tecklin, Professor of Physical Therapy. The Honorable Garrett Page, Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees, will welcome the students and guests.
