Arcadia Begins Partnership with Dalian Nationalities University in China

Administrators from Dalian Nationalities University in China visited Arcadia University on Saturday, May 1. The visitors included Yu Bin Liu, President; Rixia Bai, Provost; and Sen Tian, Director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation.

“It was a pleasure to meet and have a working lunch with the President and his key staff,” says Arcadia President Jerry Greiner. “I am grateful for the dedicated response of so many faculty and staff who attended the event and showed our strong interest in working with this university.”

Arcadia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dalian Nationalities University where the institutions agree to cooperate on the following purposes:

  • Promote interest in the teaching and research activities of the respective institutions.
  • Develop and deliver joint degree programs and other academic programs such as certificate, short courses, and seminars.
  • Explore and promote other intellectual and academic activities and ventures of mutual interest to the two institutions.
  • Deepen the understanding of the economic, cultural and social environment of the respective institutions.

Dalian Nationalities University was founded in 1984 and was known as Northeast Nationalities University before 1997. As the only Nationalities University focusing on Technology and Applied Science in China, it has grown very rapidly and is now one of the leading universities in Northeast China. In addition to well-known programs in engineering and science, the university also offers programs in business, economy, arts and management, for a total of 40 bachelor’s degree programs.
