The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced it’s NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer All Regional teams for the 2011 season with Brittany Drosdak ’12 and Jackie Law ’13 featured among the three team selections.

Graduating senior center back and the team’s captain in 2011, Drosdak (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) earns her first selection to the NSCAA All Mid-Atlantic Team honor.

Earlier this year, she captured her second straight selection to the Commonwealth Conference First Team, her fourth overall all-conference honor. In 2008 and 2009, Drosdak was named Second Team All Commonwealth. Drosdak leaves an impressionable mark on a program that went 48-19-9 over the past four seasons, including a 16-8-3 showing against Commonwealth programs and three trips to the league’s post-season tournament.

The Knights have been a defensive-minded program since entering the competitive Commonwealth Conference in 2008. By Drosdak’s sophomore season in 2009, the Knight’s defense cut opponent’s goals scored in half to 14 from 29 in 2008, and averaged an impressive 17.3 goals allowed a season over the past three years. With Drosdak leading the charge in the backfield, her teammates have had more time to focus on the offensive side of the ball, where the team has averaged 33 goals a season over the past four years.

Named as a 2011 Third Team All Mid-Atlantic selection, Law (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) will return for her senior season in 2012 looking to lead the women’s soccer program back to the post-season after missing out on the opportunity with a tough loss in this season’s regular season final against Alvernia. This is the second NSCAA Third Team All Regional selection for Law (2011, 2009). In 2010 she was named to the First Team and also earned NSCAA All American honors.

The three-time All Commonwealth Conference First Team honoree, already owns the program record for shutouts, currently with 26 to her credit. Over her three-year career as the Knights starting keeper, she has helped the team post a 37-10-7 overall record. Nearing 5,000 minutes in net, Law has faced 481 opponent shots, saving (277) all but 50 of them (goals against).
