Seven Interior Design students will participate in Langhorne Carpet Co.’s Morrow Design Competition, forming one of 10 teams from regional design programs vying for creative authorship of Langhorne Carpet Company’s new Eco Line. The line will feature two designs in multiple color combinations woven on the mill’s Jacquard Wilton broadloom.

Team entries, which are required to draw inspiration from the plant and animal kingdoms, will be put on display in the Marketplace Design Center, which is sponsor of the competition, April 13-27. All submissions will be judged by a panel of leading design and marketing professionals prior to the Awards Ceremony, which will take place in a showroom at the Marketplace on April 27.

“This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to meet top designer brand industry contacts and to build their portfolios, simply by being displayed there,” says Christine Bomberowich, Adjunct Professor of Interior Design. “It is also an honor for us all and strong vote of confidence in our students.”

The following students will be participating: Naomi Fesseha ’14, Ashley McIntyre ’14, April Stanke ’14, Dana Waldman’14, Stephanie Ebner ’13, Katherine Canfield ’13 and Courtney Sanchez ’13Read more.
