After a demanding three weeks of rehearsal, 31 dancers from Arcadia University performed during halftime at Saturday’s Philadelphia Wings indoor lacrosse game at Wells Fargo Center. The dance routine was choreographed and executed well—an awesome expression of the students’ dedication and talent.

“It’s one of my favorite things about Knight Club,” says Knight Club president Kira Marchione ’12, considering the club’s annual performances at Philadelphia sporting events.

Kristina Gannotta ’12 adds, “We all become a family in the process …. We’re practicing for it three hours a night, every night for three weeks [,] [so] it helps us get to know the first years and rest of the team better.”

The event was especially meaningful for seniors, as it was their last performance in Philadelphia with the club. Even so, they took their success in stride. “Katie Surdovel choreographed the dance, and we loved it,” says Gannotta. “We all had a blast.”

Knight Club is Arcadia’s largest club and holds a major campus performance each semester. (Check out photos from “Once Upon a Winter’s Knight.”) The spring show is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 20, and Sunday, April 22.

Additionally, Knight Club will perform during halftime at Wednesday’s basketball games, as Arcadia hosts Widener University. The women’s basketball team plays at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s team at 8 p.m.
