The Middle Atlantic Conference has announced the 2012 All-Commonwealth Conference softball teams and has named Arcadia University junior Psychology major Marissa Perez (Philadelphia, Pa.) to the First Team as an outfielder.

Perez finished the 2012 season as the Knights’ leader on offense, batting .349 in 37 starts. Although she played a handful of games at first base, she was the Knights’ mainstay in right field and played 31 games without recording an error. She ended her junior season with 24 runs scored and 20 RBI on 37 hits.

She provided the Knights with 10 multi-hit games this season and finished with three perfect games at the dish, highlighted by a four-for-four outing against DII Clarion University on March 14 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Arcadia finished the season with a 19-21 overall record.

This is the first all-conference honor for Perez. Over her three-year career with the Scarlet and Grey, Perez has totaled 92 hits, 61 runs and 57 RBI.
