Josh Isard, director of the MFA in creative writing program and assistant professor of English, presented “Mobile Devices, Apps, and Leaving the LMS” to tech writers, consultants, and representatives from companies like Blackboard and Lockheed Martin at the Drexel University e-Learning 3.0 Conference on March 27.

The discussion focused on the difficulties of providing and accessing full course content through mobile devices. Particular issues included: current apps that work well across platforms, a model of what Learning Management System apps should look like in the future, and whether or not using an LMS is necessary or desirable at this point of technological development.
