Jan Tecklin, professor of physical therapy, completed his ninth textbook during his year-long sabbatical leave. Pediatric Physical Therapy, 5th edition, was published by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Publishers in the spring of 2014. The text was dedicated to Randee Tecklin ’92 and Steve Schecter, Tecklin’s deceased friend and former college roommate.

The new edition includes chapters by five Arcadia graduates, including Diane Versaw-Barnes ’86, Heather Baj Atkinson ’95, Kathy Coultes ’95, Elliot Greenbarg ’03 (all graduates of the entry-level program) and Kirsten Hawkins Malerba ’11 (graduate of the post-professional program). Among the five editions, there have been a total of 41 different authors. Sales have exceeded 50,000 copies, and translations were published in Portuguese, Polish, and Korean.

Tecklin also authored and edited four editions of Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy, from 1985 through 2004, published by Mosby (now Elsevier Publishers).
