Dr. Marc Brasof, assistant professor of education, worked with the Rendell Center to bring democracy and civic learning to the School District of Philadelphia’s Stanton Elementary. Under the leadership of Beth Specker, Dr. Brasof, Anne Spector, and Elaine Scarpino facilitated multiple professional development sessions to assist the principal and faculty at Stanton in the process of infusing more civic learning/literacy in k-8 classrooms and the development of a youth-adult governance that values and honors student voices.
