Stackhouse Publishes Paper in ‘International Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation’

Dr. Scott Stackhouse, associate professor of physical therapy, published a study titled “Task Practice with or without Cellular Transplantation Promotes Recovery of Reach-to Grasp Function after Cervical Spinal Cord Injury” in the International Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. It explores the effects of forelimb task practice and stem cell transplantation on reach-to-grasp function in a partial spinal cord injury models in rats. This work was partially supported by the PVA Research Foundation and by the Stacy Anne Vitetta ’82 Professorship.
