Huber Wins National Physician Assistant Award

Michael L. Huber, MMS, PA-C, DFAAPA, assistant professor and academic coordinator of the Physician Assistant (PA) program, received the National Physician Assistant Mentor Award at the 2015 American Academy of Physician Assistants conference in San Francisco, May 23-27. The award recognizes one physician assistant from 196 programs who demonstrates exemplary service and furthers the leadership and educational and professional development of PA students.

Previously, Huber earned recognition for developing an Arcadia chapter of the Global Brigades, which organizes medical missions to Central American countries to provide care to local residents. Huber’s volunteer work also includes MedEvent, which provides emergency medical services for LGBT fundraisers and nationwide events.
